This non-alcoholic punch isn’t just for kids; it’s a delightful fusion of herbal tea, fruit juices, and spices, perfect for anyone craving the warmth and spice of a hot, mulled drink on a chilly day.
What do I need?
- 2 bags of hibiscus rosehip tea
- 2 cups of water
- 1 cup of apple juice
- ½ cup of orange juice
- 2 cinnamon quills
- 6 cloves
- 4 orange wedges, to garnish
- Honey to taste
How do I make it?
- Bring the water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Remove from heat and steep the tea bags, spices, and lemon slices for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags when done.
- Return the pot to the stove, add juices and sweetener (if using), and heat on low to medium-low for 8 to 10 minutes. Avoid bringing to a boil; aim to heat the drink through and allow the spices to continue steeping.
- Ladle the punch into heatproof glasses or mugs. Garnish with orange wedges. Add honey if the drink isn’t sweet enough.
