Devilled eggs offer a nostalgic taste that transports you back in time with every bite. These retro-inspired delights are a true blast from the past.

What do I need?

  • 12 hard-boiled eggs
  • 1/3 cup of mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp of freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tsp of Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp of garlic powder
  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper
  • Smoked paprika for garnish
  • Chopped fresh coriander for garnish

How do I make it?

  1. Begin by slicing the hard-boiled eggs in half lengthwise.
  2. Carefully scoop out the egg yolks and transfer them to a small mixing bowl. Mash the egg yolks completely with a fork until they form a fine powder.
  3. Add the mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and a generous pinch of salt and pepper to the bowl. Stir until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  4. Taste the mixture and adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if necessary. If the mixture appears too thick, add more mayonnaise or a small splash of water.
  5. Using a spoon, small cookie scoop, or piping bag, fill the cavities of the egg whites with the yolk mixture.
  6. Garnish each devilled egg with a sprinkle of paprika and chopped coriander.
