This classic Bacon-Wrapped Dijon Roast Turkey Breast has a twist – a sweet and tangy mustard sauce.
What do I need?
- 1 kg boneless, skinless rolled turkey breast
- 1/3 cup raw sugar
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp MasterFoods Dijon Mustard
- 2 cloves garlic, pressed or finely minced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 8 slices bacon
- Fresh chopped parsley, to serve
How do I make it?
- Preheat your oven to 170°C.
- Place the turkey breast on a plate or board and pat it dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, combine the raw sugar, olive oil, mustard, garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir well to form a paste.
- Rub the raw sugar mixture all over the turkey breast, coating it well on all sides.
- Place the turkey breast in a shallow baking dish or roasting pan. Wrap the bacon slices around the turkey breast, tucking them into each other to secure. Ensure the turkey is fully wrapped.
- Lightly brush the top of the bacon-wrapped turkey breast with any remaining raw sugar mixture.
- Roast at 170°C for about 90 minutes, or until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the deepest part of the breast reads 75°C.
- Remove the turkey breast from the oven and cover it with aluminium foil (leave it in the pan). Let it rest for approximately 10 to 15 minutes before slicing.
- Slice and serve, garnished with fresh chopped parsley.
