By participating in Spano’s IGA 31st Birthday Giveaway promotion, you agree to the following conditions:
1. STANDARD TERMS
1.1 Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions of entry. Entry into the promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions. Entry into the competition is through:
a) Shopping at any Spano’s IGA store in QLD, including Stanthorpe, Warwick, Robina, Gatton, Nerang, and Mermaid Waters.
b) Spending $30 or more (excluding gift cards, Lotto, cigarettes and tobacco products, and epay) in one transaction at any Spano’s IGA.
c) Swiping/scanning the Entrant’s registered IGA Rewards card at the time of purchase. The Entrant’s IGA Rewards primary store, for the purpose of these Terms and Conditions, is the store selected as their IGA ‘home store’ during the loyalty card registration at igarewards.com.au. To be eligible to win a prize, the Entrant must have registered their IGA Rewards Membership Card, including their full name, valid email address, and phone number. Entry is automatic on purchase, subject to the below IGA Rewards Membership Card registration requirements.
2. WHO CAN ENTER?
2.1 Subject to clause 2.2, entry is open to all residents of Australia aged 18 years or over.
2.2 Employees and their immediate families of Spano’s IGA and their associated agencies and companies, and related bodies corporate are not eligible to win.
3. HOW TO ENTER
3.1 The Spano’s IGA 31st Birthday Giveaway promotion commences on Wednesday, 21st February 2024, at 6:00 am (AEST) and concludes on Tuesday, 19th March 2024, at 23:59 (AEST). To enter, the purchaser must have made a purchase at any Spano’s IGA Store valued at $30 or more (in one purchase excluding cigarettes and tobacco products, Lotto, phone recharge, and epay) and be a registered member of the IGA Rewards card program. Only Entrants who scan their IGA Rewards card during the transaction will be considered as valid Entrants. Entrants with missing full names, email addresses, and phone numbers in the IGA Rewards profile will be deemed invalid. The purchase must be made no later than Tuesday, 19th March 2024, at 23:59 (AEST).
3.2 Multiple entries are permitted, subject to the following: (a) only one (1) entry permitted per Eligible Transaction; (b) each entry will be counted separately in accordance with entry requirements; and (c) entries not meeting set conditions will be deemed invalid.
4. PRIZE WINNERS
Total Prize Pool Value = $10,000
Minor Prize Pool consists of 20 x $500 gift cards in total.
Draws will take place weekly at our head office, and Winners will be contacted via phone and/or email. Contact details will be taken from the IGA Rewards profile. The Winners of the drawn prizes will be determined by chance. All reasonable attempts will be made to contact the Winner.
If the Winner chooses not to take their prize (or is unable to) or does not take or claim a prize within a reasonable time, as specified by the Promoter, or is unavailable at the time stipulated by the Promoter for travel, they forfeit the prize, and the Promoter is not obliged to substitute the prize.
Prize Draws as follows:
5 x Spano’s IGA $500 gift cards drawn per week (including all 6 stores – Robina, Nerang, Mermaid Waters, Gatton, Warwick, Stanthorpe).
WK1 – Thursday 29th February 2024: All eligible entries drawn each receive – One (1) x $500 Spano’s IGA Gift Card. Draw for the time period entry: 06:00 21/02/2024 until 23:59 27/02/2024.
WK2 – Thursday 7th March 2024: All eligible entries drawn each receive – One (1) x $500 Spano’s IGA Gift Card. Draw for the time period entry: 06:00 28/02/2024 until 23:59 5/03/2024.
WK3 – Thursday 14th March 2024: All eligible entries drawn each receive – One (1) x $500 Spano’s IGA Gift Card. Draw for the time period entry: 06:00 6/03/2024 until 23:59 12/03/2024.
WK4 – Thursday 21st March 2024: All eligible entries drawn each receive – One (1) x $500 Spano’s IGA Gift Card. Draw for the time period entry: 06:00 13/03/2024 until 23:59 19/03/2024.
The total prize pool is 20 x $500 cards valued at $10,000 AUD. Winners will be published on www.spanos.com.au/birthday and social media pages (facebook.com) within 7 business days of the draw. Prizes to be made available for collection at the Spano’s IGA nominated store within 7 business days of the draw.
All eligible entries received during the time period go into the weekly prize draws. No entry fee is charged by the Promoter to enter the Promotion. The prize will be awarded to the person named in the entry, and any entry made on behalf of an Entrant or by a third party will be invalid. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an Entrant or Winner, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the Entrant or Winner.
PRIZE CONDITIONS
Prizes cannot be transferred and cannot be redeemed for cash. Additional costs such as travel expenses related to attending prize collection are the responsibility of the prize Winners. Unless expressly stated in these terms and conditions, all other expenses become the responsibility of the prize Winners.
In accepting the prize, the Winners agree to participate in and cooperate with all reasonable media editorial requests, including but not limited to, being interviewed and photographed, and the Winners grant the Promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive license to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide, and the Winners will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
Prize values are based on the recommended retail prices at the time of printing (inclusive of GST).
Independent financial advice should be sought as tax implications may arise as a result of accepting the prize.
Where a receipt includes an excluded item as set out in 3.1 “How to Enter,” the cost of these items will be deducted from the total amount spent, and if this results in the receipt being below $30, this entry will no longer be valid.
UNCLAIMED PRIZE DRAWS
Subject to any written direction, any unclaimed prize draw from all non-winning entries will take place on 20/08/2024, at Spano’s IGA Head Office at 10:00 am (AEST).
The Promoter’s decision is final, and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the Competition result.
It is a condition of accepting any of the prizes that the Winners must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and the prize supplier’s requirements.
It is a condition of accepting any of the prizes that the Winners may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion.
NO LIABILITY
a. In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent, or event which prevents or significantly hinders Spano’s IGA ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, pandemic, Spano’s IGA may, in its absolute discretion, cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to any written directions given under State Regulation.
b. Spano’s IGA and their associated agencies and companies, and related bodies corporate will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail, including electronic mail. And further will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss or claim that may occur:
a) During the draw;
b) In the participation in any prize;
c) Because of late, lost or misdirected mail, telephone, or internet malfunction;
d) Due to the broadcast of any program relating to the competition or the publication of any material, including any statements made by any compare, staff member, journalist, other entrants, or any other person;
e) Arising from or related to any problem or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, mobile or internet communications network related to or resulting from participation in this promotion.
c. Spano’s IGA and their associated agencies and companies, and related bodies corporate assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.
d. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, due to causes including but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of Spano’s IGA which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, Spano’s IGA reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, subject to any written direction given under State Regulation.
GENERAL
7.1 The Promoter collects personal information (“PI”) to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such PI to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers, and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this PI. The Promoter will also use and handle PI as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can be viewed on Spano’s IGA website. In addition to any use outlined in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, the Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the PI for promotional, marketing, publicity, research, and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the Entrant. The Privacy Policy also contains information about how Entrants may opt out, access, update, or correct their PI, how Entrants may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other applicable law, and how those complaints will be dealt with. All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter will not disclose the Entrant’s personal information to any entity outside of Australia.
